[She won't press him on it; she figures that someone figuring out how to deal with their dead brother suddenly coming back to life will take some time. It's... only natural, really.
Instead, she grins at him when he accepts her offer and then he continues and... she blinks in surprise. Almost embarrassedly so, really, because it takes her a distinct moment to recover.]

[FOCUS, RUBY... even though she definitely felt her heart skip a beat there, maybe she ate something bad, that's definitely it.]
I mean--duh. If you want to come visit me, then you should just come visit me! We're friends, that's what friends do.
[Sorry, Ruby, Hiro…actually knows exactly what he's doing for once. It's with a startling sort of clarity that he's able to navigate this conversation with some sense of calmness despite the fact his heart rate's skyrocketing at the idea of her calling him on any wayward intentions. Or whatever.]

[There's a teasing little lilt to his tone.] Figured it was probably better to give you a heads up than just be like "hey you're one of my favorite people to spend time with and I want to hang out with you when we both have free time." [He hears the mumbling and just fixed her with a perplexed little look before deciding it's better not to ask. She's sick. Maybe she has feverish symptoms anyway without the fever.]
His name's Mochi and he's almost as big as Zwei. [Okay maybe not that big.] We've had him since I was little. I was taking him around yesterday to visit some people. Come over some time, he'll probably be nicer to you than he is to me.
I don't think I'm wrong, but in this case it's because he's always nicer to other people. Mochi likes me and he likes his rocket boots, but sometimes I think he's affectionate with other people just to try and prove a point.
[Hiro, he's a cat. Still, he's not sure what to say to that because the idea of Ruby paying specific attention to him still always makes his heart jump a bit and there's a slight grin.] I think I'd be pretty offended if you were only there mostly to visit my cat, but…deal. [He rolls his eyes.] Probably should focus on you getting better though.
Why do you think he's fat? [Mochi gets spoiled by all of the Hamadas. Still, there's something nice about knowing he's having a direct impact on her but he can't quite meet her eyes on that. It's great and embarrassing and wonderful and confusing and why can't everything be as simple as tic-tac-toe. Seriously.]

[She sure does know. Yang probably knows more than the two of them do themselves and it's something Hiro's vaguely aware of without quite touching on the real subject. Still. They're not running around the colony like they're prone to doing, so this totally counts as resting.]
